The holiday season is just about here-, and by holiday, I mean Halloween, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwaanza! But, today’s post is ideas for Halloween Movement and Music activities.
HALLOWEEN MOVEMENT AND MUSIC ACTIVITIES
One fun way to keep students actively engaged is using holiday themed scarf and movement activities. Not only can music teachers use these activities, but so can P.E., Elementary classroom teachers, homeschoolers, preschools, and care centers. All kids need to move!
It’s so true that kids love scarves! You can get this resource with the video, presentation and pdf files for yourself.
That way you’ll be able to upload the video to your google classroom and use in your virtual or in person activities.
I know how difficult it is to teach virtually, and to keep students engaged when there’s a holiday coming up.
So to help you navigate the month of October, I’ve gathered up all the video, resource, and other blog post links for you in one place.
There are TONS of FREE activities! Be sure to SUBSCRIBE!

HALLOWEEN MOVEMENT AND MUSIC TEACHING TIPS
“SPOOKY MOVES” for Halloween Music Activities
“Easy Halloween Movement Activities”
Talk about EASY!
You may want to pair your music lesson activities with some Halloween Bean Bag Actions.
Toss a bean bag now? Sure! TOSS and CATCH activities help students with eye hand coordination, fine motor skills and gross motor skills and help them transition, or take a break.
Why not use a manipulative, a paper cup, a plastic lid, a piece of paper, or bean bags (*as long as you can sanitize them) and still keep your students socially distanced?
Halloween is the perfect time for students to burn off some of that excitement- especially this year.
There are 9 actions – 7 of these actions are “1 person” actions. Students can do the actions with a mask on too!
All you’ll need is your favorite Halloween tunes and you’ll be able to give your students a break, a movement activity, or a workout!
Best for Kinders and up!
