HALLOWEEN MOVEMENT ACTIVITY IDEA #4
Another fun idea is to have the students create their own Halloween songs and moves.
You can use one of the traditional Kodaly Halloween songs to help students get some ideas.
- First, teach the rhythm of the rhyme.
- Next, ask students to point out the rhyming words.
- Then, brainstorm on different characters that could replace “old mother witch”.
- Big black cat-
- White scary ghost-
- Next, have students say the new chants.
- Further, you can have them switch out the rhyming words too.
Here’s a rap I put together for my students. I love to watch them create actions to this simple song.
