Christmas & Holiday Rhythm Crowns, Headbands, Hat, Craft: Decoding Rhythm Activities

Christmas rhythm crowns, or headbands, or hats craft activity for music students. Practice, decode, compose rhythms during December music classes and studio or private lessons. Music students will enjoy the games and activities.

The resource includes fun games and activities for whole and small groups as well as individuals. These activities are for STATIONS too!

Included are ways to set up your stations in elementary music class. Students will enjoy coloring their crowns and composing, or used the color versions, laminate and use year after year in your classroom.

So many diverse learning opportunities using these creative Christmas crowns.

This set of activities is best for First Grade-Third Grade.

Kindergarten may be able to do the activity if you use the pre-printed rhythm cards and cut the crowns out ahead of time- or help them out.

RESOURCE INCLUDES:

There are 8 CHRISTMAS crown templates in color and black and white.
There are pre-made rhythm squares for students to glue/paste into the rhythm boxes. Teachers can choose whether to have students use these or just write in the rhythms.
4 GAMES/ACTIVITIES including whole class and small group versions. One activity has students playing classroom instruments.

You may want to consider students who don’t believe in “Santa” and use the snowman and bell versions.

Be sure to calculate how many strips you need and print the number of pages (3 on each).
