WINTER ACTION SONGS, POEMS AND FINGERPLAYS
Wintertime can be a great learning time using winter action songs and poems. Students understand and “get” cold, snowy, freezing, snow, snowman and other winter concepts as they experience winter weather. You can make learning fun by incorporating action songs into your classroom activities.
Winter is also a great time to work on rhyming words. Each of these action songs have rhyming words at the end of the sentence. You can say the last words and have your children repeat the rhyming sound. Later ask them to point out the rhymes in the lyrics.
I highly recommend watching the full video to get all of the actions and teaching directions.
