Easy to teach line up songs and chants for Preschool, Kindergarten, First and Second grades using familiar songs. Make lining up fun for your students.
One of the most difficult things for teachers to do at the beginning of the year is to teach students how to line up.
That’s why I put together my favorite and most easy to teach line up songs and chants in this video.
Singing songs and using chants and rhymes is a positive way to help students follow directions, learn procedures and build classroom community.

It’s important to repeat, repeat, repeat these types of songs to give everyone time to learn the songs and the actions.
Be sure to teach the songs first and then teach how to line up.
Lastly, give TONS and TONS of positive feedback. Come up with some SILENT signals to communicate to your students that they have done the procedure correctly. Encouragement and positive praise goes a long way to build relationships.
