Patriotic rhythm activities for the elementary music classroom. November, February and July are great months to use Patriotic themed activities in your music lessons.
Teachers love the ability to practice rhythms, learn note values, play and say rhythms. I’m sure you’re students will love the engaging teaching video too! And to make this activity even more kid friendly, it includes a google slides drag and drop images activity.
Patriotic Drag and Drop Rhythm activities are easy to use for online and in person music class lessons. Begin by using the Video as a whole class activity to introduce the rhythms.
Afterwards, go through the presentation and have students say and play the practice rhythms.
Finally, students can go to a computer or tablet and practice moving the images into the boxes to create their very own rhythm patterns.
It’s so important to keep engagement high in your virtual classes. One way to do this is by using interactive google slides activities.
And, these materials make a great SUB lesson with video, presentation and google slides activities.
