Making Music Activities at Home

Making music activities can be done alone or with the entire family. No need to practice or to purchase anything for this activity.  This is an eco-friendly music lesson that everyone can benefit from- even mom and dad.

Making music is good therapy. These kinds of activities stimulate brain connections and strengthen our cognitive and physical skills.

And honestly,  music making activities at home can be an integral part of your family experiences.

Here’s how to get started and use this video in your making music activities.

1ST GATHER RECYCLED MATERIALS

Recycled cans, boxes, containers, and lids.

Be sure to wash them and make sure there are no rough edges.

Or;

Kitchen spoons, spatulas, chopsticks, paper plates, plastic lids, plastic containers, pots and pans.

You’ll want to check that it’s okay to use them to make music.

2^ND SING THE SONG

You’ll be able to easily make music the first time through.

Follow along with the video by singing the song and using body percussion.
