Let’s get ready for some back to school kindergarten music class activities!
All the activities I’ve gathered include multiple ways for student to engage! Singing, moving, clapping, stomping, sitting, standing, waving are just some of the things we can do on the first day of class.

Most children love to move like animals. I found this activity to be a great beginning movement activity for kindergarten even on the first day.

CALM DOWN ACTIVITIES
I’ve also found it helpful to have a calm down break either after a movement activity or just before lining up.
Give the students a chance to breathe and re-center as they transition from one activity to the next.
